The internal story of the meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister came to light
Sources said that a detailed discussion was held during the meeting regarding the austerity drive. Have to submit Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed anger over the use of vehicles along with petrol allowance by government employees.
He said that if government employees are getting a petrol allowance then why vehicles are being used. The Prime Minister was informed that Grade 20 officers get a petrol allowance of Rs 60,000 and Grade 21 officers get a petrol allowance of Rs 75,000. It was also informed in the briefing that Grade 22 officers get a petrol allowance of Rs 90,000.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that tough decisions would have to be taken in difficult circumstances. It was decided to convene a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Federal Cabinet meeting. After which the Prime Minister convened a meeting tomorrow. The four Chief Ministers will be present at the meeting of the National Economic Council. The meeting will discuss the closure of markets. And after consultation with the businessmen, the special cabinet committee will give its suggestions
